We volunteered at the hospital in Christiansburg one morning. It began at 6 am. Mackenzie and I were at the same station and we directed the people to the snack room after they got their blood drawn. It was not the largest job in the world, but it meant so much to the people who set up the blood drive that a group of college kids got up at 5 am on a Saturday morning and wanted to help. The people that had just gotten their blood drawn were primarily elderly. They were so happy to see our smiling faces in the morning.
